The NSW Fencing Association sees schools fencing as vital to the future of our sport.

The NSW schools fencing program is the most successful in Australia. It gives students an opportunity to take up an exciting sport at school and then go on, if they wish, to become competitive fencers at Club, State, National and even International level.

The NSW schools fencing program comprises:

• Schools Individual Championships fenced in Term 2
• Schools Team Championships fenced in Term 3
• The Roberta Nutt Shield for individuals
• The A J Rae and Roseanne White Shields (National Team Qualifiers)
• The National School Individual Qualifier for Senior Boys and Girls

In accordance with the principle of weapon equity, all of these events offer three weapons – foil, epee and sabre.

The calendar below indicates dates and venues for these events.
