Camps

NSW Fencing runs a Summer Training Camp in early January of every year, and a Winter Junior Development Camp in June. There may also be AFF camps throughout the year.

Summer Training Camp

The Summer Camp is held in January, and consists of a number of different programs, some of which are specifically aimed at junior fencers. The camp is non-residential, and normally runs for around a week, with different programs on different days.

At the 2007 Summer Camp, programs included:

• Competition Training (all weapons, adult and junior fencers over 16)
• Junior Development (foil only)
• Under 11/13 (foil only)

Details for the 2008 Summer Training Camp are not yet available.

Winter Junior Development Camp

The Winter Camp is held in June, and is aimed at people entering the Under-15 and Under-17 National Championships, and the Australian Schools Championships. This camp is also non-residential, and runs over a weekend.

The 2006 Winter Junior Development Camp will be held on the weekend of 16-17 June. Details and enrolment form are available on the the main Camps page of this website.

AFF Under-20 Training Camp

In 2007, AFF is running an Under-20 National Training Camp prior to National Junior (U/20) Championships in Melbourne. The camp runs from Sept 30 to Oct 2.

Nominations must be on the Information and Nomination form, and are due by 8 September.

There is a limit on numbers - book early to avoid disappointment.

Tours

The AFF and NSWFA occasionally run tours for Junior fencers.

At present, there are no Junior tours planned for 2007.
