Equipment Requirements

Different levels of fencing competitions require different standards of equipment. For full details, see the relevant pages of this website. In summary, however:

NSWFA competitions require full fencing uniform and electrical apparatus.

AFF competitions require equipment of FIE safety standard.

FIE competitions require equipment of FIE safety standard, labelled with the fencer's name, country and official country logo. For certain sabre events, masks with transparent visors must be worn.
