NSW Fencing has a stock of personal equipment that is available for hire in certain competitions. This is managed by the equipment officer.

Items available

The following items are available for hire from NSW Fencing:

• Jackets
• Masks
• Electric foils
• Foil lame jackets
• Foil bodywires

Note that the jackets, masks and foils are not FIE standard, and so are not suitable for AFF tournaments. If you need equipment that is not stocked by NSW Fencing, you should make arrangements with your Club, or with one of the equipment suppliers.

Hiring arrangements

Equipment will be available for hire at all Novice, U/11, U/13 and Schools competitions. It will also be available at all NSW Fencing Camps. It is advisable, but not mandatory, to contact the equipment officer and book your requirements in advance.

If you need to hire equipment for any other event, you must book in advance with the equipment officer. If equipment is not booked, it will not be brought to the competition venue.

Costs

Hiring costs are $5 per individual item (except for Schools Fencing League events, where the charge is $7 per item).
