NSW Fencing has an ongoing commitment to advance the development of fencing at all levels and increase participation.

A number of initiatives have already been put in place to achieve this, but it is an ongoing objective of the Association.

In 2009, Antonio Signorello took up duties in the role of Head Coach for NSW Fencing. This role involves overseeing development of fencers at both an elite and an introductory level.

The Head Coach is also deeply involved with other NSW Fencing Development initiatives, such as:

  • Squad training sessions for ongoing athlete development
  • Camps for intensive training, particularly in the lead up to a major competition
  • Courses for the development of referees and coaches

The Head Coach provides a regular report on progress.
