Coaching

The NSWFA recognises that it is in the best interests of the sport to have as many accredited coaches as possible. This especially applies to providing fencing coaching in schools.

The NSWFA therefore strongly supports the process of coaching accreditation. It does this by:

• Conducting a Level 1 coaching course each year.
• Providing administrative support for candidates to obtain or upgrade their accreditation.
• Maintaining a database of accredited coaches on its website, and by referring enquiries received to accredited coaches.

In NSW Fencing, coaching related matters are managed by the Coaching Commission.

Coaches should be aware that, under NSW Legislation, NSWFA is required to be supplied with Prohibited Employment Declaration forms from all coaches (whethr they are volunteers or are paid for their services by NSWFA).
