Children under 16 years must be accompanied to and from the Sport and Leisure Centre by a responsible adult.

Driving, walking, biking

If you are coming in from the City, come in on Epping Road.
Go past the main university entrance.
Further along Epping Road you will see a Shell petrol station on the right hand side, turn right here into Culloden Road, go past the golf range and you will come to a mini-roundabout.
Just before the mini-roundabout there is a turning on the right – Gymnasium Road, turn right down this road.
Parking is first on the left - see below.
Follow Gymnasium Road down to the The Macquarie University Sport and Aquatic Centre on the right.

Parking

Generally parking on campus is by pay-and-display.
Members using the car park first left in Gymnasium Road can obtain a 2 hours free parking ticket from the machine to cover the period to 8:00 pm when parking is free. This ticket must be obtained and displayed.

Public Transport (bus)

It's easy to travel to U@MQ by public transport. For information regarding bus services please call the Transport Infoline on 131 500 or go to 131500.info.

Coaching

Learn Fencing Classes are run by Fencing @ Macquarie as part of the U@MQ Active program. Coach is MQ student Alex Carioti.

Classes are 1.5 hours from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm and run for five successive weeks.

Cost is $75 for Macquarie Uni students/alumni/staff, $85 for other students/concession, and $95 for anyone else.

Group footwork/fitness sessions are run at the start of Friday evening club training (to commence semester 2, 2008).

Cost for private tuition is set by the individual coaches and arranged directly with them.

Fencing @ Macquarie welcomes visitors who are members of other fencing clubs or casual visitors. A fee is payable per the above schedule and is to be paid at the reception desk. The ticket must be presented to one of the coaching group before fencing.

Equipment

4 fully functioning strips operating.

Foils/Epees/Sabres/jackets/masks/gloves available.

Fee-paying club members are able to borrow club equipment during their first two years of membership. Casual Visitors may borrow club equipment when available but will be responsible for any breakages.
