Information and application forms will be released closer to the date. NSWFA Coaching CoursesNSW Fencing has scheduled a Level 1 Coaching Course to take place over three Sundays in 2008: 1 June, 24 August and 14 September. The course will be held at the Anne Clark Centre in Lidcombe, and will be run by Maitre D'Armes Jeffery Gray. The cost is $90 for the 3 days, which includes tuition and the provision of all course material. NSW Sport and Rec Coaching Courses/WorkshopsIntermediate General Principles of Coaching CourseNSW Sport and Recreation will be running an Intermediate General Principles of Coaching Course on consecutive Monday evenings at their Sydney Olympic Park office in June and July.

WorkshopsNSW Sport and Recreation is offering a variety of workshops for community sports coaches in June and July. All the workshops will be held on Monday nights at the NSW Sport and Recreation Offices from 6.00pm until 9.30pm. The cost is $40 and includes a light supper. The topics for the first 3 workshops workshops will be: Coaching Processes and Communication
Skills (Monday June 16)
Growth and Development and Sports Nutrition
(Monday June 23)
Sports Psychology and Skill Acquisition
(Monday June 30)
These workshops will be held in conjunction with the Intermediate of General Principles of Coaching Course and participants will receive a certificate of completion and credit towards the Intermediate General Principles off Coaching course should the they decide to enrol for that course at a later date. AFF Coaching Courses and AssessmentThe Australian Fencing Federation (AFF) has received funding from the Oceania National Olympic Committees (ONOC) Olympic Solidarity Program for a national level Coaching Course. The course will be run on 19-29 September 2008, in Brisbane. It will be presented by Maître Daniel Mouchet of France and the AFF National Epée Coach, Maître Vladimir Sher. The AFF will also make a few places available to international participants. The Course will be a 10 day intensive program in Epée or Foil Coaching. Applicants will agree to participate in their choice of one of the weapon specific courses for the entire 10 days. Coaches participating in the course will be required to be accredited
at Level 2 or higher. The exception to this will be Level 1 coaches who
have succesfully completed a Level 2 General Principles Course and wish
to proceed to Level 2 in either foil or épée. There will
be also be some limited opportunities to undertake Practical Assessment
in Level 2 & 3 Foil or Epée outside formal course hours. There
will be a fee associated with the practical assessment. To be eligible
to undertake the assessment, you must have, at a minimum, completed the
relevant Level 2 General Principles Course (13 modules) or for Level 3
assessment, 2 modules of the Level 3 Sports Specific Coaching Principles
